"Kenzie"
July 26, 2008 - November 9, 2019
Kenzie is my first swissy and certainly my heart dog. Although not always the most willing, she does always give me "enough". She is extremely sound and so very athletic. She has never taken a bad step and is just a beautiful, graceful girl. Her build is on the "elegant" side of the swissy bitch scale. Kenzie has a moderate length coat with very minimal undercoat. I do wish she had a little more. The undercoat that she has is very dark grey. She has a very pretty head for a bitch and nice length of neck. I wish she had a better shoulder placement, giving her a better topline appearance. She has very free movement and beautiful rear angles. Her place in the household is dominant bitch, but she is a very fair ruler. She does however demand respect from the others and will discipline if needed. She is pretty silly and loves attention from anyone. She does not know a stranger and hopes that every new acquaintance just might have some snack to share! Very playful, she often tries to start a game of wrestling in large groups when other dogs are on-leash. She is quite the "flirt"!
Kenzie has accomplished a lot so far but has even more work to do in her life! Our current large goal is for her to earn her VGS, or Versatile Greater Swiss title... UPDATE!! Kenzie has just earned her CD (Companion Dog) title, fullfilling all the requirements for her VGS!! So proud of this girl...
Due to family health concerns of epilepsy, Kenzie wasn't bred until age 4 1/2, when she developed pyometra and was spayed. She's a beautiful and sweet pet.
Kenzie crossed the rainbow bridge November 9th, 2019. She bloated and the decision was made not to put her through surgery at her age. Rest easy beautiful girl. You were such a wonderful introduction to this amazing breed...
Kenzie ended 2012-2013 as the #2 swissy in AKC agility!!!
She repeated with another finish in the top 5 swissies for 2013-14!!
