Blue View Puppies
Our goal is to produce Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs that are, first and foremost, happy, healthy dogs that will enjoy long lives as family pets. We hope, that while achieving this goal, we are also able to produce GSMDs that adhere to the AKC breed standard. Something that I find very important as well, is keeping the working dog spirit alive in this breed. Swissies should be willing workers and physically able to do so.
Our puppies are placed into their new homes with an AKC registration and microchip. Each puppy will have received several appropriatly timed dewormings and an initial distemper/parvo vaccine during their vet exam. They have been raised in our home and have been socialized with cats and our other dogs and are exposed to the general noises of a home environment. I will have also begun house-training, but never fear-- there is much work left for the new owner! The puppies will also have traveled on several "field trips" to meet strange new friends in new and different environments. After both a temperament evaluation and structural evaluation at 8 weeks, the puppies are assigned to their new homes according to the best fit for the families and puppies.
